Laboratory Services

Our medical diagnostics are supported by both our in house facilities, used for basic blood, urine and fecal analyses and cytology as well as our reference laboratories which we use for more extensive diagnostics including bacteriology, clinical pathology and histopathology to name a few.

One of the most important times for us to perform a complete blood profile and urinalyses, apart from when your pet is sick, is before your pet has a general anesthetic.  This assessment allows us to determine if it is safe to proceed with the procedure that is required or whether it should be postponed.  Sometimes we detect early underlying health conditions that you may be unaware of because your dog is not showing any clinical symptoms.  By performing blood and urine tests we are able to select the safest anesthetic protocol for your pet.
