At Benson View we believe feeding your pet a complete and balanced diet and maintaining them at their ideal body weight will help promote a long healthy life. With this in mind, it is important to feed your pet a high quality diet that is made for their specific life stage be it for growth and development, adult maintenance or for their senior years.
Pets that are overweight have an increased incidence of many conditions including arthritis, diabetes mellitus, pancreatitis, and breathing problems to name a few. When your pet is in for an examination we will obtain their weight and give them a body condition score. If they are over their ideal weight our doctors or registered veterinary technologists would be happy to calculate the ideal number of calories your pet should consume per day and in turn calculate the amount of food in cups you should feed per day.
We carry both life stage specific diets (including kitten, puppy, large breed puppy, adult, and senior) and veterinary prescription diets that have been developed by veterinary nutritionists and are backed by science to meet the specific needs of your pet.
